This is a nice app but what it really needs is the ability to utilize the iPhone accelerometer to detect earthquakes and share that data to the cloud and/or the USGS. Only when enough similar readings are detected from a certain region within a narrow timeframe would the data be considered legitimate and then be pushed back out to the map for all users to view. The app could also be active only at certain times of the day/night that the user defines. As well as only be active when connected to pre-defined wifi networks. Such as Home or work. Another option would be to only take accelerometer reading when it is plugged into power (such as when on your night stand or connected to a computer USB). The app could also use the iPhone GPS to disable sensor reading when moving. As well as only record seismic data when the app detects the iPhone is laying flat on its back. Another option would be to disable the seismic sensor data output when a face is detected with the front facing camera. Requiring the app to be running in the foreground would also further prevent false readings. This could easily, quickly, and cheaply create a huge network of seismographs around the world.

Cant even open this app. Crashes before it can open.

I enjoy this app very much, very informative but lately its been crashing. Please fix.

This app makes me open it Two or three times before it stays open. It keeps closing.

It keeps crashing. Ive deleted and reinstalled and wont work please fix it

The app is unstable when someone tries to first open it. It usually takes a couple of attempts before it stays open.

I do not recommend this app, its unstable, its crashes must of the times and there is no support for it. Do not buy it

This is the easiest access app I have used for recent earthquake activity.

When disaster strike we get the know because of this fantastic app. Obviously this app will not function without the great people behind it. Thank you.

This is a great little app, I use it all the time. You do need to get the filter to make it better though.

Sigh. This hasnt worked for me since iOS 7.0

Perfect earthquake App

I switched from another earthquake app to this one because I this app has more than just the USGS feed. This app is wonderful with all different feeds! USGS has not been reporting all quakes lately-- thank you so much for your great app!!!

I like the alerts and the maps appear to be current. Only drawback is some of the symbols on the map dont have any explanation and I didnt find a reason for them in the app program.

Oklahoma has increased in activity to unimaginable numbers. This Ap lets me know just how close and how strong each of them are! And I get to see the rest of the world too!

With all the earthquakes we are having here, this app is a convenient way to pinpoint the location. You can zoom all the way down to photo maps and see exactly where the earthquake was
